...The new brunch items include a sunnyside up egg dish (with fried tortillas, shredded amish chicken, salsa, queso cotija), a scrambled egg dish (with pico de gallo, , salsa verde, and queso fresca), and a dish called Huevos Al Horno Con Chorizo (skilled-baked eggs over plancha-grilled chorizo, fingerling potatoes, and red onions, then topped with queso fresca and served with warm, soft flour tortillas on the side), which I ordered.... Egg-a Omega

...I sautéed i few smelt fillets in some rendered bacon fat in a cast iron skillet, meanwhile frying to egg yolks sunny-side-up. I then placed the eggs on top of the chili pepper paste, then placed the smelt decoratively on top of them, trying to not visually obstruct the eggs.... [cont.]

...The fritas, pretty much like everything else here that's fried, is surprisingly light and non-greasy yet full of flavor and depth. The texture and taste of the crab were pronounced yet subtle, and the pepper aioli added the right amount of kick but didn't linger.... [Full post]

Yo Quiero Cascabel!

...A silver tray carrying my gorditas were soon carried out to my table and immediately impressed me with their very appetizing presentation. The corn "buns" warm toasty warm and aromatic. The pork belly was especially nice since they retained the ration of lean pork to fatty pork that I like. I prefer a little more lean since, as opposed to other proteins, lean pork has plenty of flavor itself.... [cont.]
