“Milk”-Ing Success at Milk Burger

I first heard about MILK Burger when I read Anthiny Bourdain was a fan of it, referring to the signiture handful as a “damn good burger,” having first been introduced to him by his wife, Octavia, who discovered the modest, new spot in East/Spanish Harlem.

Of course I had to check it out. I was likewise impressed with the quality burger, as I was with the owner of said establishment, Erik Mayor, who — from concept to execution — was able to bring quality burgers to a neighborhood that hadn’t received much regard or attention from the higher end food community.

Erik and I have since become great friends, and I’ve enjoyed watching him open up a second location in the Bronxh and then spread his wings even farther down to the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The menu has grown since that iteration, bt the food is still made with the freshest ingredients and the utmost of *consistent* care, and it shows in the flavors and presentation of sandwiches such as his Smash Burger, BX GOAT Burger, and Classic Fish Burger, all pictured here.

Not only are his burgers (and wings!) still damn good burgers, but so is he and so is the business.
